Wm. Farmer and Sons is an absolute gem. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported into a warm, inviting space where every detail— from the eclectic decor to the impeccable service—feels thoughtfully curated. The food is nothing short of spectacular. (The shrimp and grits is a must.) The ambiance is cozy yet refined, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a celebratory meal, or just a great night out with friends. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the experience they’re providing. To top it all off, the rooms and the common spaces are so beautiful and thoughtfully done. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Wm. Farmer and Sons is a must-visit—an unforgettable dining (and lodging) experience that captures the best of Hudson’s charm and hospitality. Highly recommend!

Review is for the hotel and restaurant! Full five star service at both. John at the hotel could not have been warmer or kinder upon check in, and our room was stunning and well-equipped with everything we needed for a romantic getaway weekend. We watched the sun set over the mountains and saw bald eagles circling above. We also had an incredible meal at the restaurant, and everyone took such excellent care of us. We’re leaving with huge smiles and are already planning a return trip. Can’t recommend enough!

We booked for Valentine’s Day weekend and stayed in the Fawkner Room. We had such a lovely experience for a few reasons... The room was very clean (which is very important to us), cozy, and very spacious. We appreciated that there was a fridge, our own tea kettle, and different craft beers to try out. We also appreciated that there were multiple chairs and couches to choose from to lounge on, and the fireplace also made for a very romantic feel. We also really enjoyed using the common area to go get coffee in the morning. We really appreciate how historical details like the French windows and staircase were preserved. The location was also ideal, very close walk into town. The manager Zach was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to make us feel special on our little getaway. It really makes the experience all the more enjoyable when it feels like the staff has a vested interest in the enjoyment of your stay and we definitely got that feeling from Zach. We both found the burger deluxe at the restaurant to be exceptional, and the setting felt very rustic while still romantic and charming. Will definitely be back!

The hotel is cozy and welcoming. Very charming. We were immediately greeted and assisted to our room. Comfy beds and attention to detail. The decor is relaxed, yet elegant. The restaurant smelled amazing and looked cool, but we did not have a chance to eat there. Maybe next time. Looking forward to staying here again!

Very comfortable beds, spacious, lovely bathroom and tub. A large king room at a great price. I’d stay again if I were in the area. And an accommodating staff! I wish we could have tried the restaurant but we had reservations nearby. Highly recommend.
